A co-founder of the nonprofit at Shelburne Farms in 1972, Marshall Webb worked for five decades at the farm until his untimely passing in August 2022. Read about Marshall’s life. Marshall was a passionate believer in the mission of Shelburne Farms, cherished its woodlands and trails, and was tirelessly dedicated to addressing global climate change for the future of all. As Carbon Drawdown Coordinator, he led our efforts towards achieving the Climate Action goal of achieving net zero status by Earth Day 2028, the day that he would have turned 80 years old. The Marshall C. Webb Climate Action Fund was created in his honor and memory to help Shelburne Farms achieve that goal.
