The Cheese team is looking for a Lead Cheesemaker to support our Farm product team in making, packaging and shipping our artisanal cheddar cheese. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cheesemaker to expand into the world of raw milk, farmstead cheddar cheese production. The cheese team is integral to supporting a healthy local food system and providing an inspiring farm-based campus for learning for the Farm’s various programs and activities.

The Cheese team is looking for an Entry Level Cheesemaking and Processing Assistant to support our Farm product team in making, packaging and shipping our artisanal cheddar cheese. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in an entry level position in the cheese industry. The cheese team is integral to supporting a healthy local food system and providing an inspiring farm-based campus for learning for the Farm’s various programs and activities.

Our Welcome Center and Farm Store is more than a place to learn about Shelburne Farms and buy local food, but also where we inspire learning about sustainability. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for agriculture and, while you may not have previously worked on a farm, you’re enthusiastic about sharing farm products with the community.

You have a passion for preparing and sharing locally sourced, simply prepared and beautifully presented, great tasting nutritious food. In partnership with a Cashier & Guest Service staff, you will share the food we grow and raise at the Farm while helping to strengthen our local food systems by serving delicious lunch and snacks to visitors at the Farm Barn. Shelburne Farms is a National Historic Landmark and our Inn maintains many of its original furnishings and fixtures. We continue to share this beautiful space with guests and visitors, so we look to you to help us maintain the upkeep and cleanliness of the 24 guestrooms at the Inn, common spaces, as well as the 4 guest cottages across the farm.
