Seasonal Children's Farmyard Educator
We are seeking seasonal Farm-Based Educators to work in the Children’s Farmyard (CFY). The CFY is an outdoor educational space that is open to the public and school groups seven days a week, May through October. The goal of this public program is to educate and connect visitors to agriculture and food systems in a safe, engaging, and hands-on environment.
Seasonal Welcome Center Guest Services & Sales Associate
Our Welcome Center & Farm Store is the first point of contact for many of our visitors at Shelburne Farms. You will provide retail sales and customer service support for all shoppers at the store, while answering questions about programs, services, activities, and ways to interact with all that Shelburne Farms has to offer.
Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Crew Member
Our 1,400 acres of pastures, woodlands, gardens, and historic buildings are a unique campus for learning. We are looking to you and the Buildings & Landscape team to help maintain our grounds, roads and trails to ensure visitors and guests can continue to enjoy all that Shelburne Farms has to offer. You will directly support our mission and carbon drawdown goals as we operate electric commercial lawn mowing equipment and adhere to the Raise the Blade efforts.
Creamery Manager
We are seeking someone who is deeply committed to artisanal cheesemaking as part of a vision for a sustainable future, including supporting Shelburne Farm’s education and community programs and conserving its beautiful agricultural landscape. You will play an important role in our local food system, providing management leadership for the cheese team and collaborating with other farm operations, to produce, age, package and ship our farmstead cheddar cheese.

This is a dynamic role that requires both practical event coordination skills and a commitment to the farm’s mission and sustainability principles.

The Farm Cart team connects visitors with delicious and nutritious lunches and snacks, showcasing products from the farm and by other local producers. As you'll be working at the hub of the farm, you'll also have the opportunity to engage with visitors about their meals, sharing information about the farm's mission and sustainable food practices.
Seasonal Prep Cook
As the Prep Cook, you'll work alongside our mission-driven culinary team, prepping food that will be enjoyed by all guests and visitors of the farm. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in creating transformative learning experiences by supporting our chefs in preparing delicious, sustainably sourced meals. By contributing to our culinary team, you'll support the Farm’s mission through the power of food and sustainability practices.

Seasonal Dishwasher
Our dishwashers work in partnership with our entire kitchen and front of house staff to help create an authentic farm-to-dining experience. We will train staff with no experience however you will need to have open communication skills, able to prioritize tasks in a busy environment while adhering to all food safety regulations and protocols. Rolling application process and we will begin interviewing in mid-March for early May start date.
