Begin the journey of seed to centerpiece with a guided visit to the greenhouses and fields of the Market Garden. Meet the dedicated farm staff that tend the flowers from seed selection to harvest and gain insight into the planning and growing of a flower garden.

Then learn the basics of flower arranging with Abby Todia and Amy Raymond, floral designers at the Shelburne Farms Inn. They will share fundamentals, tips and techniques that will help you create an arrangement with flowers grown at the Market Garden. You’ll not only leave with new skills and inspiration, but also a beautiful centerpiece to take home and enjoy.

Abby Todia has been working at the Inn as a floral designer since 2019. She loves taking inspiration from the vast property, whether in the woodlands, Formal Gardens, Market Gardens or along the shore of Lake Champlain. When creating floral designs for the Inn, she focuses on bringing the outside in, to tell the story of the blooms from field to vase. She enjoys seeing the reactions of guests and employees alike when they walk through the Inn.
