Max stepped into the Tour Guide and Volunteer Coordinator position after recently moving to the area.

Originally from Colorado, Max has worked in restaurants, organic farms, vineyards, gardening, food retail, and just about every other part of our food system. After earning a master's degree in Sustainable Food Systems, Max has been looking for way to make a big impact while still getting to connect with farmers and the earth. This role is the perfect synthesis of his background in hospitality, food, and non-profit work, and he is thrilled to be able to bring his skills and experience to bear with the amazing team of volunteers and tour guides here at Shelburne Farms.

When not working, Max enjoys pottery, gardening, birding, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, and exploring this beautiful state with his sweetie.
