Marie Vea serves as Assistant Dean for Student Services and Staff Development in the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Vermont. She loves to camp, kayak, forage, cross-country ski – any activities that connect with Land – and collaborates with BIPOC communities in Vermont to make the outdoors welcoming for everyone. Her academic interests include radically inclusive education and multiple ways of knowing. Marie enjoys working with staff, faculty, students, the larger community and especially the Shelburne Farms Board toward building learning environments where all beings may thrive. She believes there is no more compelling time than right now to ask, “How do I meet this moment with courage, vulnerability, and creativity?”
