Seasonal Prep Cook
Employee Status: Seasonal
Start & End Date: ASAP - October 27th, 2024
Salary Range: $18 - $22 /hour
Schedule: 7 day operation; Typical schedule is 8am - 4pm, and days worked depends on schedule and your availability (full and part time schedule options)
What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities
- Follow the prep list created by chefs
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
- Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
- Prepare simple dishes such as salads, entrees etc.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by sanitizing surfaces, washing dishes, and taking out trash etc.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
Who We’re Looking For:
- Passion for preparing and sharing locally sourced, simply prepared and beautifully presented, great tasting nutritious food.
- At least one year of food prep experience in a professional kitchen setting.
- Self motivated, team player with flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Friendly and professional demeanor with a positive outlook.
- Excellent knife skills and extensive understanding of various cooking techniques

Additional Valued Qualifications
- Maintain a positive attitude under pressure
- Ability to work weekends and some holidays as needed
- Opening experience a plus
- A passion for great food and hospitality
- Experience with point of sales systems a plus
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Seasonally demanding work schedule
- Ability to be physically active for extended periods of time
- Indoor spaces lack conventional heating and cooling
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
