Supervisor: Event & Farm Functions Coordinator
Employment: Seasonal Part Time
Pay: Hourly, Non Exempt
Location: In person, Shelburne, VT
Start/End Date: May 1 - October 31
Pay range: $22-24/hour
Work Schedule: 12-30 hrs a week depending on volume of events, must be available evenings and weekends

Who We’re Looking for
Be an integral part of our Event Team at Shelburne Farms! This position contributes to the execution of a wide range of events, large and small, such as programs, outdoor concerts, non-profit gatherings, and events that help foster the mission of Shelburne Farms. The ideal candidate for this position will have a knack for communicative and team-oriented problem solving, a “can-do” attitude, and a passion for creating an unmatched guest experience. This is a part-time, seasonal position from Late-April to Late-October.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and act as site host for Farm Events campus wide
- Set-up and break down event related furniture and equipment.
- Support with site preparation for large events including wayfinding signage, parking assistance and set up and break down of event equipment
- Support food and beverage service for events across the farm.
- Maintain all common spaces used throughout the venue during events; clearing trash, keeping spaces organized, and stocking supplies.
- Provide support for event preparation and day of responsibilities
- Assisting in other tasks as needed to ensure the harmonious flow of event operations.
- Maintain and keep organized all event-related equipment.
- Support a continuous effort to foster a culturally aware learning community, open to multiple perspectives.
Core Qualifications
- An upbeat, high-energy individual with a positive attitude
- Ability work in a collaborative team oriented environment
- Willingness to be flexible with work schedule & variety of tasks
- Able to work long hours, including holidays, nights and weekends
- A valid driver’s license to operate a Shelburne Farms vehicle on, and possibly off, the property
- Commit to entire season (Late April through late October)
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs safely
- Able to work on feet for long hours
Additional Valued Qualifications
- Familiar with Google, basic computer skills
- Previous event or hospitality experience but not required
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Outdoor work environment with varied weather conditions.
- Movement over uneven terrain.
- Carrying and moving items up and down stairs, including items weighing approx. 40 lbs.
